GEFFS Manufacturing, Inc. Mighty Sweep 2003-8 KO self-propelled broom is the finest and most powerful broom on the market. The broom is designed to give extended years of service. We have many brooms built well over 14 years ago that are still in service throughout the country. GEFFS manufactures a broom built to last more than 3-5 years. We are confident your broom will last 10-15 years in service without major repairs with proper and regular broom maintenance and upkeep is maintained and recorded. Imagine buy one of our brooms and save money because it's quality built or purchase 2-3 of our competitor's brooms in the same time period. On the average our broom outlast the competitors 3 to 1.

The Mighty Sweep is designed with a heavy-duty hydraulic system that provides optimum operation and control of the broom. Unlike our competitors, who use medium-duty hydraulic pumps rated 26gpm @2200 rpm, we use a 3.9 cubic inch per revolution hydrostatic pump that provides 37 gpm at 2200 rpm for main propulsion and piggyback this pump with an additional accessory 27 gpm gear pump for separate steering and broom operations. The accessory pump has a built-in flow divider to dedicate 4 gpm to the accessories (broom lift, swing, and float) and in addition a dedicated 2 gpm flow divide for steering. This additional flow divider dedicates 2 gpm flow to the steering at all times. The main propulsion hydraulic drive motor is a large 5.4 cubic inch per revolution heavy-duty hydraulic motor providing positive drive torque. This motor allows speeds from 0-25 mph with gradability from 0 to 27%.

The hydraulic system is equipped with a 30 gallon tank with 100 mesh suction strainers, return spin-on 10 beta micron filters and a swing out hydraulic cooler for easier cleaning and maintenance. A sight glass is provided on the hydraulic tank to quickly check and maintain fluid levels.

Our broom has a joystick control for up/down, left/right and on/off of the broom unit. A separate switch and rheostat control is provided for float control. The engine controls and joystick are conveniently located to the right of the operator.

While we provide hydraulic brake system, the broom also utilizes hydraulic dynamic braking with our clutch pedal and hydrostatic control lever. The braking system is disc front brakes and drum style rear brake with mechanical parking brake. We use a double master cylinder for our hydraulic brakes. Our front axle is a straight axle full oscillating automotive style with camber, caster, and toe-in and load rated for 4200 Pounds. Our rear axle is a Dana heavy duty truck type rigid with a semi-floating differential. We provide 15" steel 5 hole wheels with lt235/75R15,6 ply rated tires standard. All sheets are interchangeable and spare wheel and tire is optional.

We use only tier 3 compliant engines in our brooms. The engines all us J1939 electronic ECM engine controls and this requires a single Can Bus info center to provide all engine information. The engine operation information includes oil pressure, water temperature, oil temperature, RPM, hour meter, volt meter, visual and audio engine warnings, fuel levels, and engine trouble-shooting codes. We place a separate hydraulic temperature gauge on the operator's control station to monitor hydraulic temperature. We put a pre-cleaner on every engine air intake system in addition to the primary/secondary replaceable air filtration system. Other types of precleaners are optional.

We provide standard air conditioning and cab fresh air pressurizer for the comfort of the operator. Our doors have a double safety lock catch that prevents doors opening while operating or while hauling to location. The cab and door laminated safety glass allows maximum visibility. We provide a front defroster fan and front windshield wiper with washer. A rear wiper and washer are optional.

The broom's cab doors, engine compartment and rear cooler clean-out door are lockable to protect your broom from vandalism are standard on our broom.

Our standard lighting package includes headlights, front and rear turn signals and brake lights as well as 4-way flasher system controlled from our signal switch. Every machine is equipped with our standard strobe light mount on top of the cab. Other strobe types and rear work lights are optional.

Front and rear bumpers are standard as are front fenders. Our optional water spray system provides 150 gallons of water to a spray bar that covers the full length of our broom. The system has a filter system as well as individual screens at each spray nozzle. A security cover secures the spray pump and shutoff valves to prevent vandalism.

Our chassis is all welded truck type 7" channels, 1/4" thick with gussets at all stress points. Roll-bar protection is provide inside cab behind operator to insure safety.
